Rebecca was born in 1970 in Haslemere, Surrey, although according to her Grandfather, people think Surrey is London so actually she's from West sussex.
Rebecca has always been an artist for as long as she can remember and some of her early work can be found on this website. Some of her earliest work can be found on the walls of the houses she lived in as a child and on her mother's fridge (oil paints are very difficult to get rid of apparently).
Although largely self taught, Rebecca has been mentored by the respected and well known wildlife artist Pip McGarry and has successfully displayed and sold her work at the annual Marwell International Wildlife Exhibition. According to her family this makes her an internationally selling wildlife artist although Rebecca is sceptical of this.
Specialising in wildlife and animals, Rebecca has also painted sports scenes and a number of her comissions have been in the Stockport County Football Clubs supporters bar for several years.
Rebecca is also a wife, mother, grandmother, boss, company director and budding author. In her spare time she likes to read, take long baths, complete killer Sudoku puzzles in very short order, walk the dogs and watch the Lancaster, from the Battle of Britain Flight, fly past her house. Rebecca also enjoys the fast jets and helicopters of the Royal Air Force flying at tree top height directly at her in the kitchen.
Rebecca now lives in Lincolnshire, with her family, 8 chickens, 5 dogs, 4 cats, 4 chinchillas and a paper fish.
